umbrella magnolia
The umbrella magnolia is known for the gargantuan size of not only its leaves, but its height as well. The only tree of its kind on Seton Hill University’s campus, the umbrella magnolia located in Mary’s Courtyard stands taller than the buildings surrounding it with leaves that can grow longer than 12 inches! This special tree is dedicated to Karen Hurwitz (1972-1989).
