Magnolia grandiflora

Of the southern magnolia trees on campus, two are especially notable. The first is the tree planted by the Junior Class of 2004 on the front lawn of the Administration building. This tree was dedicated on April 9, 2003 in honor of the troops serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Secondly is a tree planted to the west of Canevin Hall, dedicated in memory of Josefa Filkosky by the Class of 2004.
