The American holly tree is often used as a sign of Christmas cheer, but also provides food for birds and beautification of plots of land (Arbor Day Foundation, 2018). Notable American holly trees at Seton Hill University are those that reside in Mary's courtyard and stand on either side of the statue of the Virgin Mother.
